A Pokemon Nature is the most important thing on a Pokemon,Without it your Pokemon is not complete! A Pokemon Nature is the thing that makes it grow I guess I would have to say. So to get you started i'll give you an example!

Nature: Adament

Lowers: Special Attack

Boost: Attack

Loves: Dry Poffins

 So if your planning on training a pokemon lets say a Typhlosion. And Typhlosion is a fire type right? So you would most likley want a modest nature.

If you would want to know what nature you would want  a pokemon to have there is a website called serebii.net and once your on there to the left there is a list. Look at the first list  if you have any of the gba games click on  the first pokedex that says R/S/C/FR/LG/E Pokédex or if you have the ds games click on the third pokedex that says DPtHGSS Pokédex.

So click on one of those and you will come up to a page that list a bunch of types right? So click on the type of the pokemon you want to train in this case it will be Garchomp so we will click on Dragon (in your case it will be the pokemon you choose). Now it will take you to a page with a bunch of pokemon find the pokemon your looking for and click on the name or the icon. Now it will take you to another page with all the pokemon's info, scroll all the way down (at the very end) and you will see a bunch of stats.

There are different types of pokemon there are Physical Sweepers (Physical Attack) ,Special Sweerpers (Special attack),and Tanks (Defense).Just remember that.

So now look and see if the Attack is higher then the Sp.Attack (special attack) or if SP.Attack is higher then Attack. In this case with garchomp its Attack so i'll want it to have an adamant nature. But if the pokemon is a rock or a steel type you would want a Defense nature like Impish then see if the Attack is higher then the Sp.Attack or if SP.Attack is higher then Attack.

So now you wonder in how you get the right nature right? Well if you read Hatching eggs and getting the right IVs before this then just read How to EV train.

Also if you have Pokemon Diamond,Pearl,or Platinum your Nature tells what type poffin your Pokemon likes the best!

This guide is the same for every Pokemon game just the poffin thing is different but thats all
